Utilization of Foreign Qualified Professional in Canadian job market is much more complex than it is normally considered. It is not just acceptance of degree, but it is acceptance of a person of different faith, culture, eating habits, English accent, etc. in the professional circle. Professional status is needed to sign the final drawings and design calculations of modification or of a new project. This is not the problem of newly migrated professionals. They just want to earn their living utilizing their skills and get rid of heavy, dirty, risky extremely low paid jobs mostly available through agencies because otherwise they do not have a reference even for these jobs. One of the main obstacles is the sense of insecurity in main race Canadian professionals, because foreign professionals will be ready to work on much lower salaries than what Canadians are earning and as long as they are feeling insecure, they will not let others to penetrate in there fields. Professionals are just professionals, they are neither Liberals nor Conservatives and they always protect their professional community. Politicians are non-professional people, they cannot take stand against Professional bodies. They can only request them.
Absorbing foreign professionals will take much more time and effort than politicians, policy makers and even foreign professionals think. It is not just letting a person pass through immigration counter on airport; it also needs to remove barriers and fears in minds.
Basically Canadian needs cheap labor for jobs they do not want to do (with a few exceptions may be). For those jobs they do not need professionals, but people of much less qualification are suitable. On the other hand their policy makers want to bring in people with some money in pocket because they work only with figure and figure should always be positive. No human feeling; only budget surplus.
Job market is getting cheap labor through Employment Agencies for hard, dirty, risky jobs without or with least coverage of labor laws. I was told in an employment work shop and I have also seen practically that agencies are keeping 40 to 60 % of earning of poor employees (mostly immigrants). So if we think, human trading is taking place in a legal and civilized way.

Real Life Comedy or Tragedy!
A Canadian taught computer networking in a government funded institution. He could hardly connect two computers and share a folder with the help of his friend. In a 7 weeks course, he spend 3 weeks in teaching series and parallel circuits, spend a few days in extra curricular activities, work place safety, showed a couple of movies, etc. (Note: All teachers are not like this) _________________________________

Statistics on Canadian Poverty!
In 2007, almost 800,000 Canadian children, or almost 1 in 8, were poor. Canada’s child poverty rate of 11.7% is three times higher than Sweden. Almost 800,000 people rely on food banks every month – 40% children. _________________________________

An Immigrant Died on Vancouver Airport by Police Taser An eyewitness's video recording of a man dying after being stunned with a Taser by police on Oct. 14 at Vancouver International Airport has been released to the public.

Watch the video: CNN

Robert Dziekanski is jolted by a shot from an RCMP Taser. (Paul Pritchard) The 10-minute video recording clearly shows four RCMP officers talking to Robert Dziekanski while he is standing with his back to a counter and with his arms lowered by his sides, but his hands are not visible.
About 25 seconds after police enter the secure area where he is, there is a loud crack that sounds like a Taser shot, followed by Dziekanski screaming and convulsing as he stumbles and falls to the floor.
Another loud crack can be heard as an officer appears to fire one more Taser shot into Dziekanski.
As the officers kneel on top of Dziekanski and handcuff him, he continues to scream and convulse on the floor.
One officer is heard to say, "Hit him again. Hit him again," and there is another loud cracking sound.
Police have said only two Taser shots were fired, but a witness said she heard up to four Taser shots.
Robert Dziekanski falls to the floor as an RCMP officer looks on. (Paul Pritchard)
A minute and half after the first Taser shot was fired Dziekanski stops moaning and convulsing and becomes still and silent.
Shortly after, the officers appear to be checking his condition and one officer is heard to say, "code red."
Minutes later, ambulance attendants arrived but their efforts to revive Dziekanski were unsuccessful and he was declared dead.
RCMP spokesman Cpl. Dale Carr said no one can judge what happened to Dziekanski by just watching the video.
So please bring a few contacts of the city where you are going to land and all family members should know answers of common questions ( Like; Your name? Your Passport? Your Photo ID? Do you know someone? etc.) in ENGLISH or FRENCH (if landing in QUEBEC).

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S * Ask the individual to SMILE.
T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE
(Coherently) i.e. It is sunny out today)
R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.
If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call immediately 911 or whatever emergency medical service you have in your area and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.
New Sign of a Stroke ------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other , that is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this message tells it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

Please do not throw left over bread and rice in garbage. If there is no bad smell or fungus in it please put in a corner of your backyard, birds and squirrel will eat it. If you are living in an apartment, you may put it some where out side at an open place even near garbage bin.

Job Losses
Since 2004, Canada has lost a quarter-million manufacturing jobs almost----- 200 jobs every day. Manufacturing jobs pay 28% better than average, with decent benefits and pensions. New jobs created in their wake are generally lower-paying or temporary. That's the dirty secret lurking inside Canada's unemployment figures.

Be Aware of Door to Door Salespeople offering Power Purchase Agreements
You may have an encounter with a door to door salesperson, who are quick to offer you "rebate" on your hydro or gas bill as long as you sign a long term purchase contract of Hydro(Electricity) or Gas at the door. They will also scare you from rising Hydro and Gas rates. Make sure you understand what you are signing on to. If you are uncertain, you could be faced with rates that go up and up and up, until you are paying as much as 70% more than your neighbours for as long as five years!
Make the salesperson leave the contract with you, and get back to them!
Never sigh anything at the door.
Do not cash or deposit any cheques from these peddlers- doing so is the same as signing / accepting a contract.
Explore other ways to save money on your gas and hydro bills: like using energy saver bulbs, increasing your arric insulation or replacing a furnace.
ALERT: Since mid-1980s, the average family savings rate has dropped from 15- 20% of income to just 2% ---not nearly enough to retire securely.
Something else was going on as savings shrank: Consumer debt exploded by 600%. Canadian households now owe $300 billion on credit cards, loans and other high-interest debt, It's the kind of debt that can become a trap for even the most conscientious family.

"It is much more likely that Canadians will be caught and punished for parking illegally, than for a politician for taking money from a lobbyist in secret."

Traveling down the interstate and needing to use the restroom, I stop at a rest area and head to the restroom
I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying:
"Hi, how are you?"
I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom and I don't know what got into me, but I answered, somewhat embarrassed, "Doin' just fine!"
And the other person says:
"So what are you up to?"
What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say:
"Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!"?
At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question.
"Can I come over?"
Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell him,
"No..I'm a little busy right now!!!"
Then I hear the Guy say nervously... "Listen, I'll have to call you back.? There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions?
